This design is inspired by Samchykivka — a traditional Ukrainian decorative painting style known for its vivid colors and symbolic meanings. Originally used to protect and bless homes, it’s full of joy, warmth, and life.

Created by Yana Vlasenko-Benatska, a Ukrainian artist who brings this folk art into the modern world, each piece in her Strange Creatures series is a playful reimagining of ancient symbols with a bold, personal twist.
